It forecasts the weather....I promise!

Monday 19 March 2007

I'm getting abit of abuse from Pete McConnell - he say's the weatherforecaster/clock/alarmclock object he won in the recent 20:20 RedNoseDay Auction, does not work. So I'm gonna set the record straight - when I had it, it worked fine. Granted, that I only had it for 3 months and it rained the whole time, so it could really not be wrong, but nonetheless, it worked! Maybe the icons identifying the weather are just open to interpretation. A good workman never blames his tools! SO,If you want to know the weather PETE, look outside! Don't be looking at a clock that probably tells the wrong time! (Glad to get that off my chest!) It comes in a nifty blue colour though.
DON'T FORGET - "WEDNESDAY ADAMS" playing at 7pm in 20:20 ROOM, MONDAY 19TH!
How good is 20:20 going at the moment? Don't y'all agree?4 new faces on Friday night which was fantastic to see! Keep bringing your friends and get them to come and join our 'wee family'!
Neil and I were talking earlier tonight - he was away this weekend along with some of the other leaders and he was saying that when he's not there he misses it. I agree with him. When I'm not with y'all on Friday night I feel I've missed out too(and I'm sure all of the leaders will agree). I miss the praise, the craic, the love, the community, the smiles, the building of relationships between me and you, or between you and others. I miss how we all learn together about God's Kingdom and Glory and how when we sing praise together, there is a real sense of unity between everyone all praising the same awesome God! That unity we have is hard to break - but it's not an exclusive club. I want it to be a club that is easy to join, but hard to leave! That people who are looking in, want to be apart of it, and then are invited to be apart of it! Afterall, God welcomes everyone into His Kingdom, why shouldn't we? He also looks after those in His Kingdom, why shouldn't we? Easy to join, hard to leave.
The clock reads 2.10am. I found my bed since last time but my mother put the microwave on fire just hours ago and somehow the burnt plastic smell lingering around my usual "cinnamon Yankee candle" scented home, smells of an actual burning Yankee.

I hope he's ok, he's not saying much...
